What is ArtsCamp 2009?

This innovative and exciting summer camp adventure offers an intensive performing arts approach that focuses on dramatic composition and performance for young artists ages 9 to 11.

Under the guidance of six teaching artists, four areas of exploration will be focused upon: creative dramatics, movement, technical theatre and vocal music. For young people with a keen interest in the performing arts, this curriculum provides an opportunity to expand their abilities and learn new technical skills and performance methods.

  • ArtsCamp 2009 run dates will be June 15 - July 2, 2009
  • Enrollment is limited to 70 participants, selected by application and interview
  • Classes are from 9:00 am-4:45 pm, Monday-Friday
  • The Cost of ArtsCamp is $475.00
  • One ArtsCamp 2009 T-shirt is provided free of charge
  • Campers provide their own lunches Monday-Thursday
  • Lunch is provided free of charge on Fridays

ArtsCamp classes will be held at the Kravis Center in the Picower Foundation Arts Education Center on the 2nd floor of the Cohen Pavilion. Student drop-off and pick-up will be at the main entrance to the Cohen Pavilion off of Okeechobee Boulevard.
